We need a new ammendment!!!

Congressional Reform Act of 2011

1. Term Limits.
12 years only, one of the possible options below..
A. Two Six-year Senate terms
B. Six Two-year House terms
C. One Six-year Senate term and three Two-Year House terms
2. No Tenure / No Pension.
A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.
3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.
All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social
Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social
Security system, and Congress participates with the American people.
4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.
5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.
7. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.
8. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/12.
The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen.
Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers
envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s),
then go home and back to work.

I believe all illegal immigrants, and their progeny, need deported immediately. The USA cannot afford them. This will free up jobs for US citizens. If someone wants a job done, they will then have to hire US citizens. The illegal aliens must return home and work within their own country to make needed changes to their own conditions. Sounds straight forward enough, logical even. But, the people who attended the ‘one nation’ event are allowing themselves to be used just as much as the citizens of other countries.

The fact that 400 special interest groups organized to pull off the underwhelming participation is remarkable. Union workers rode a ‘free’ bus and were provided a ‘free lunch.’ ‘Free’ only in the sense that they didn’t take coin out of their wallets to pay immediately. The cost was high. What was the consequence of not attending? What was the consequence of attending? The union members I know, ordinary blue collar workers, don’t support communism or socialism on its face. They are union members because they have to be if they want to work. They don’t vote out the union in their work places because too many accept the party line that the union is what gets and keeps their jobs for them. The idea of unionization is excellent, but has been perverted by the unions themselves,as we all know.

The aftermath, trash everywhere, is left for the taxpayers to clean up.

The President is creating an environment of fear to US citizens through his threats to send in his minions. Such threats are an attempt to thwart the will of the People of Arizona and the State’s law enforcement employees to implement SB 1070. The President’s threats raise concerns among individuals, departments, and agencies of increased time and costs to respond to inquiries and to inappropriate legal actions taken by the federal employees.

The President, by his words, encourages increased civil unrest and increases the likelihood of violent actions from illegal aliens and their supporters, with concurrent injury to Citizens and their property. The Arizona Governor may be well advised to put the Arizona National Guard on alert for immediate call out to protect Arizona’s People. The President spoke deliberately, with malice and forethought, with nothing innocuous in that speech.

I applaud Arizona’s People and her Executive, Legislative,and Judicial branches, and the Law Enforcement employees who stand firm and are not cowed by threats from the President and his minions.

I applaud the Governor and her staff who have worked closely with Legislators to assure the Bill addresses civil rights and appropriate implementation to include staff training.

I condemn people such as Guatemalan Vice President Rafael Estrada and Francisco Loureiro, an activist running a shelter in Nogales, Mexico , who attempt to manipulate thought through use of inaccurate terms, calling illegal aliens “migrants.” (Link: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/36735281/ns/politics?gt1=43001) A garbage collector is called a sanitation engineer, to soften the reality of a stinky, labor intensive job. Calling the class of criminals who are illegal aliens ‘migrants’ doesn’t change the reality that these are individuals who have decided they are above the laws of our sovereign United States and they are entitled to enter at will, rather than to apply for entry according to the laws of our nation and their own nation.

Not all illegal aliens are Hispanic and entering from the South. There are any number of people who came here on student visas and simply failed to leave. I heard tale of one fellow, I believe from Thailand, who attended the University of Alaska Fairbanks who got swept up in the southern US. There are also any number who enter through our Northern borders, into the contiguous 48 states and Alaska, with the many miles of remote forested country.

It takes effort to educate ourselves.

It is imperative we educate ourselves.

It becomes more and more apparent that our public schools, including our colleges, trade schools, and universities, teach history and current events in collaboration with government. The press doesn’t seem to be as free as I once believed it was.

It appears the Alinsky Method is a panacea, a placebo, an outright method to control through manipulation. That feels uncomfortable. Having a queasy feeling in the gut, it bodes one well to examine the cause and find the best remedy.

A mantra of my generation was “Question Authority.” Have we quit questioning authority in complacency, trusting someone else so look out for our good?

All must continue to question authority. Simply being in a position of authority does not necessarily indicate the mores, ethics, skills, knowledge patently inherent in that position are resident in the individual holding that seat.

I encourage you to examine issues from every side, from every angle, from above and from below. Hold each in your hand, feel it, smell it, taste it, understand its many facets as best you can and determine your own opinion.

The education establishment in this country, at all levels, continually decries the absence of parental involvement in the everyday process of educating the young people of this country. We are asked to volunteer time to ease the burdens on the teachers. We are NOT expected to assume that we will have any input into decisions effecting what they will be taught or how the teaching process is to be done.

In the book, “Educating For The New World Order,” the author, Bev Eakman points out repeatedly the necessity of the educationists to preserve the ILLUSION that there is: “Lay, or community, participation in the decision making process, while in fact lay citizens are being squeezed out.”

It is interesting, and EXTREMELY important to Americans, both as parents and as citizens, to clearly understand just HOW the “squeezing out” process takes place. It is a well defined, if not well perceived, process known as the “Alinsky Method” (which was derived from a procedure named as “The Delphi Technique.”) This method of manipulating people is based on the fact that people in groups tend to share a common knowledge base and display certain identifiable characteristics known as “group dynamics.”

In this process, one or more people known as “Change Agents” or “Facilitators” appear to be acting as organizers, “allowing” each person in the group to express their concerns about some program or policy under consideration. While this process is going on, people are urged to make lists or form into task forces. The Facilitator carefully notes which members of the group are leaders, which are “loud mouths” and which may be easily swayed to different viewpoints.

At a certain point, the previously friendly Change Agent begins to act as “devil’s advocate,” becoming an agitator. The process involves playing one part of the group against another, the “divide and conquer” technique. Anyone who is not clearly in accord with the Facilitator’s agenda is made to appear ridiculous, inarticulate, ignorant or dogmatic. The idea is to make these members of the group angry thus escalating tensions. The end object being to shut opposition voices out of the group.

The “targets” of such manipulation rarely, if ever, realize how they are being manipulated. If they do suspect, they generally have no idea how to defeat the process.

This method is being used at all levels of government to force meetings toward PRESET conclusions. There are three steps to defeating this process. They are simple to learn, if not always easy to put into practice since the Facilitators are well trained in agitation techniques.

The first rule is: Always be charming, pleasant and courteous. SMILE! Speak in a normal voice to avoid seeming to be belligerent or aggressive.

Rule No. 2 is to STAY FOCUSED! Write your question or statement down in advance to help you stay on track. These Change Agents are trained to twist the conversation around to make the questioner appear foolish or belligerent or aggressive. The idea being to put the questioner on the defensive. Be careful! As mentioned in Rule 1, always be charming, pleasant and courteous (if it kills you to do so!) Often an attempt will be made to change the subject, digress or distort your intent. Always bring them back to the question you asked! If they distort your question into what amounts to an accusation of them, simply state clearly and precisely: “That is NOT what I stated. What I asked was…”(here repeat your original question.) Do not be distracted or angered by their efforts to make you look bad.

Rule No. 3: BE PERSISTENT! When the Facilitator realizes that putting you on the defensive is not going to work, quite often he, or she, will go into some long drawn out discussion of some unrelated or only vaguely related subject. Such a discussion may drag on for a number of minutes. The intent being to have the crowd become bored and forget what the original question was. Let them run on, then very calmly, quietly but with determination drag them back to the subject by saying: “But you didn’t answer my question! My question was…”(again repeat your question.)

Never, NEVER allow yourself to become angry. Anger directed toward the Change Agent makes him or her the victim. Their object is to become liked by the crowd, to be seen as a friend by a majority of those present to convince that majority the ideas of the Facilitator are correct and acceptable.

With the increasing demand for education reform, increasing agitation among the public and more and more grassroots research exposing the defects in our current government indoctrination centers, also known as public schools, more and more people are being exposed to this Alinsky method of maneuvering public meetings toward preset goals. Somehow, people walk out of public meetings wondering just what happened – how were their ideas and objections so neatly derailed. This consistent pattern of manipulation of public meetings is causing concern about the corruption of the very process of government established by our Founding Fathers.

Next week we will examine some of the finer points of the Delphi Technique, how and why it was originally developed and how it is being used to destroy our freedoms.

Do you have an abcessed tooth?  Your days may be numbered fewer than you realize.  Every day people go to ERs around the country with neglected toothaches because the pain and swelling has become overwhelming.    Many (the majority) of these people die because they put off getting help for too long, but we don’t hear about it.  An abcess on the upper jaw can eat through the bone into the brain.  An abcess on the lower jaw goes straight to the heart. 

Long-term untreated bacterial infections have a profound effect on your entire body, not just the local area where concentrated.

I know this is true because my sister-in-law was med-evaced from Wasilla hospital emergency room to an Anchorage hospital because of an abcessed tooth.  It appeared she might have menigitus, but she didn’t, just an abcessed tooth.  She was on a respirator for 5 days, in a medically induced coma, experienced seizures, and now has pneumonia.  (This is the short list of her problems.)  Today is her 8th day in ICU.  The abcess had gone through the bone into her brain where she now has an air bubble and fluid in the brain, where these things should not be found.

I have no idea why she didn’t take care of her teeth.  She has totally free medical and dental care because she is an Alaska Native and so is provided care and medicine through the Indian Health Service.   Perhaps she is afraid of the dentist.  Perhaps she didn’t realize the risks.  Perhaps a disability she experiences is the reason for her not making an appointment for the dental care she needed.  But it was not that she needed to pay for dental care or medication.  She will not have to pay for the treatment she is getting now, either.   The health care bill recently passed and signed by our federal government wasn’t in play as related to this dearly loved lady.

I didn’t intend to get into the politics of health care, instead I wanted to encourage people to take care of their teeth.  The Supreme Court and the government have agreed to the legal obligation to provide care to indigineous people through the Indian Health Service, and it is not my purpose to debate this situation at this time. 

It saddens me to see a dynamic woman felled by her failure to visit the dentist.  It saddens me to see my brother and her sisters and others who love her in emotional pain as they wait upon the Lord and His spiritual intervention,  and the fine doctors, nurses, and medical intervention to restore her health.

I saw my dentist today.  Since October, I’ve an abcess that comes and goes.  My dentist says I’m lucky.   I bought a bottle of antibiotics today and I’ll be getting a couple of root canals and having the area cleaned out.  That maxes out my dental insurance benefit for this year and makes a huge hole in my bank account.  And I got to come home tonight.

As I move toward more active participation in the governance of our local, state and federal governments, it is clear I need to school myself on processes.  Does it take a petition from the People, a vote of no confidence from the State legislature, or what to remove Begich? 

Is the question what does it take to replace a sitting Alaska Senator?  A special election to allow Alaska’s Citizens to vote for a Senator to complete Begich’s term or an appointment from the Governor or the legislature?

The Mat-Su Bororats routinely have off-cycle voting to pass funding requests that failed during a normal voting period.  I don’t suppose voter apathy would be in play for a state-wide vote.   Perhaps it would, but pray not.

If someone has this information, I’d love to hear from you.  In the meantime, I’ll see what I can find on the internet before the Federal government decides to take control of it.  Google already has a battle with China, let’s keep such from happening in the U.S.A.

From the first, I thought I might be able to support changes in law, policy and regulation  if they were fair and equitable changes.  The initial indicator of that would be that all Federal elected, appointed and hired individuals and their families would be party to all changes.

That did not happen.  The Senate rejected a whole slew of amendments today.

I’d like to recall all who voted to pass the HCR bill on Sunday.  Let’s start with Alaska’s junior Senator, Mark Begich.
